It appears Lord Iain has been lax in his duties of notifying the populace, so a round-up of my latest activities.

Waypoint - Battlelines

A science fiction LARP event ran by Dave Lascelles and friends. Lots of running around with guns in a fictional future with interplanetary gateways. The event was good, the great enemy 'the Quain-Dyr' have revealed more about themselves and there was plenty of running around in the dark being attacked by floating balls of energy demanding their ship back or they'll exterminate all organic life (as if giving them it back would stop them anyway). Conspiracies are a-go as well, so I need to stamp these out for good of the Empire.

But the mud... the horrible mud. I think I've just about got it all out of my kit.

More info can be found at http://www.waypointlrp.co.uk/ if anyone wishes to know more about this highly geeky hobby.

Holiday and the Joys of Sleep

Other than running around in a scout camp's field with fake guns, its been mostly sleeping and not coding. Stress is currently at a minimum and I think I'll pull through to the end of the year. Its very important I don't de-stress completely, as my flat-mates tell me my bones may liquefy without it.

Back to work tomorrow. So more perl, deciphering the undecipherable C code and plenty of coffee.

I think I can be classed as alive now. The Alka-Seltzer has worked its usual magic. The power of the magic-glug-glug-pain-go-away-juice is limitless, and I think we've just ran out.

The Halloween party was good, a lot of really good costumes and more booze than I can remember. Too many heroes unfortunately, but it was due my other bungling super-villain compatriots that we failed to destroy the party with our doomsday device.

Back to work tomorrow and the usual coding frenzy. Holiday has been good though :)
